A&P Mechanic – accepting resume’s

Must have a FAA Airframe and Power Plant License and three years of work related experience. Repair and maintain components used for aircraft airframe and power plant. The ability to inspect aircraft engines, landing gear, instruments, pressurized sections, accessories – brakes, valves, pumps, and air-conditioning systems.

Ability to obtain airport security clearance with no Criminal Record
Maintain records related to the maintenance performed on the aircraft.
Mechanics conduct inspections following a schedule based on the number of hours the aircraft has flown, calendar days since the last inspection, cycles of operation, or a combination of these factors.
Repair or replace worn or defective parts.
The ability to interpret technical manuals, drawings and blue prints.
Willingness to work Overtime
Boeing Aircraft experience a plus

Flight Officer hiring information

Transair has opened an application window for Captains to crew its Boeing 737-200 aircraft with a groundschool beginning in February 2018. Captain and First Officer applications are also now being accepted for the hiring pool.

Domicile:  Honolulu.  Must live or relocate to Hawaii.

Captain Minimums (hired straight in as a Captain)

  • 5000 TT – will consider 4500 TT w/ experience in aircraft over 80,000 lbs MTOW
  • 2500 hours turbojet
  • Currently serving as a turbojet PIC or SIC
  • Served on two different types of turbojet aircraft
  • Quick upgrade may be available for those with considerable jet experience but not meeting all the minimums above.

First Officer Minimums

  • ATP
  • 1500 total flight time (2000 preferred)
  • 500 hours multiengine turboprop or multiengine jet
  • *Pilot-in-Command totals must NOT include time flown as SIC but logged as PIC due to being type-rated in the aircraft and manipulating the controls. Only include PIC time at airlines where you “signed” as PIC for the aircraft.**Total flight times must never include Flight Engineer or Simulator hours – unless specifically asked for those hours.***Flight time not able to be verified will not be accepted.
